Video Production

 
 

My experience in theater led to an interest in film making after making friends with interests in audio and video production. I have written, directed and edited two award-winning projects. My entry for a three minute promotional video in Cisco’s “Why I’m Excited About IT” contest won first place in the “Alumni” category. My short film, a trailer for a movie that doesn’t exist yet called “U-234”, won first place in the “Commercial/Advertisement” category and second best in show in Cyfair College’s “Quack Attack Film Festival”.


I use Final Cut, but I also also gained a lot of experience in Sony Vegas Pro 8 before I made the switch to Mac. I learned how to use Autodesk 3DS Max 8 in college, which I put to good use in U-234. I’m currently transitioning to Blender for 3D modeling and special effects, because it’s free, open source, and just as effective.

KENNETH & RYAN’S CISCO AD

I wrote, directed, edited, and acted in this entry for Cisco’s “Why I’m Excited About IT” contest. It won 1st place. My friend, Ryan Murphy, handled all of the overdubbing and composed the music. The objective of the video is to promote interest in the Cisco Networking Academy among potential IT students. The logos on our shirts had to be censored to comply with the contest rules. No routers were harmed in the making of this video.

U-234

U-234 was filmed on location on the U.S.S Texas and entered in the “Quack Attack Film Festival” where it won 2nd Best In Show. I wrote the script, directed, edited the video, and created the CG sequences. This was my first serious attempt filmmaking and gave me lot of valuable experience.


This project will be re-edited in the future.. I have other projects I want to complete first, but I plan to make a full length U-234 movie some day. Find out more  at www.u234movie.com

Children of Marduk

Synopsis: A young girl, who has become the test subject of a psychological warfare experiment, attempts to counteract her brainwashing when she is confronted with the truth: everyone has the ability to choose between right and wrong.


I wrote, directed, and produced this short film. I also did the camerawork for the first scene.
